VANUATU - South Sea accident

On the 10th of May 2002 I joined the first time
the island of VANUATU. We had an typical, tropical
rainy day but anyway that, my target was to
drive up to the waterfall which was 23 km away from
our vessel. I climbed up the slippery and muddily roads to 
the waterfall in middle of the jungle.  

The waterfall had some small primitive jungle bridges and I tried to pass the bridges by bike.  Already the second bridge crashed down with me in the small river. The accident was perfect. I had a broken rip and a crafty band in my ankle. I drove back to my vessel under that horrible circumstands.

NORWAY - Northcape and midnight-sun

We joined during the summer season 2001  3 times

the northcape.

My target was to start in Honnigsvag and to drive up to highest point

near the cape at midnight.

It was more than cold, we had a temperature of minus 2 degrees.
Some days ago I bought new tires special one for asphalt, to reach the best speed. At
that sunny night I broke my old speed record of 79 km.
It was just a great feeling - midnight sun, speed, fresh air & the Nordcape.

OMAN - In the desert of Salahla

I was already 7 times in OMAN, and we joined again the ports of SALAHLA
ond MUSCAT. There was always one of my favorite places
for biking during our world cruise.
A temperature between 40-60 degrees during the day,
was always a special challenge for me. I lost easily 3 kg
in one afternoon. Therefore it was real important
matter to have enough water, vitamines and calcium
with me.
